Sony is launching a new PlayStation 5 gamepad – DualSense Edge – which includes five features, unique profiles, upgraded guts, and a few extra input methods.

The new controller will have two function buttons below the analogue stick, while initial images show rubberized grips around the controller.

The gamepad will allow players to remap and deactivate buttons, adjusting stick sensitivity and dead zones. These remote settings can then be saved to unique profiles for different players.

Additionally, the stick caps and back buttons are swappable on the DualSense Edge, letting users replace the entire stick module as well. The gadget will come with a braided USB-C cable and a carrying case with USB charging.

Sony has yet to release information on the availability and price of the gamepad, but it has undoubtedly become the standout feature of the PlayStation 5.
