Soldier martyred in North Waziristan clash

A Pakistan Army soldier was martyred in clashes with terrorists in the Miran Shah area of North Waziristan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a press release on Saturday.

According to the military’s media wing, a terrorist – identified as Zia Ullah – was also killed during the “intense” exchange of fire, and weapons and ammunition were recovered from the terrorist.

During the clash Naik Zahid Ahmed, a 32-year-old resident of Charsadda was martyred as he fought gallantly, added the ISPR.

Last week, the ISPR reported an exchange of fire that took place between terrorists and military personnel in the general Datta Khel area of North Waziristan.

During an intense exchange of fire, 25-year-old Sepoy Shahzaib Imtiaz – a resident of Kotli Sattian – embraced martyrdom after fighting gallantly.

Subsequently, the clearance of the region took place to eliminate any other terrorist elements.
