Interestingly, the new feature is designed to make Snap Map more like a utility. According to The Verge, more than 250 million people use Snapchat’s built-in map to see where their friends are in the world. The map interface has recently been upgraded to the main tab within the app, and on Thursday, the company added a new feature that can display popular locations for you to visit.
The map function will begin to find places for users, such as restaurants and bars that they have marked in past posts or added to their favorite options.
According to reports, the “Popular” tab at the bottom center of Snap Map will display recommendations based on factors such as the user’s current location and the type of places the user has saved as a favorite.
