Karachi: The Sindh Provincial Government announced on Tuesday that it has decided to reopen schools across the province on Monday, August 23.

The Minister of Education, Sardar Shah, announced the news after chairing the meeting of the Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education of Sindh Province.

Shah said the school will reopen with only 50% of students attending, and educational institutions with comprehensive vaccination rates will be allowed 100% of the student population.

The minister stated that closing and reopening schools is not a solution, and that different methods that do not harm the education of students should be adopted.

“One of the parents of the student must submit their NADRA vaccination certificate to the school administration,” he said.

Regarding the single country course, he said that Prime Minister Imran Khan neither knew about the constitution, nor had he read it.

“In the PTI manifesto, they mentioned that they will implement a single curriculum across the country-in a democratic system, decisions are not enforced, but made through negotiation.”
