Shahid Afridi said that there have been many unfortunate incidents related to TikTok in Pakistan.
  • Afridi said that allowing and restricting application usage over and over again is not an option.
  • Afridi emphasized that TikTok should be banned once and for all.
  • The cricket star believes that there should be an age limit for the use of mobile phones.

Former cricket star Shahid Afridi asked singer and social activist Shehzad Roy to raise his voice and ban the popular video sharing app TikTok once and for all.

The cricket star expressed his contempt for the app when sharing the screen with the singer on a private TV show, and emphasized banning it once and for all, instead of repeatedly banning and unbanning it.

“You speak your own voice on every question, so you should ban TikTok,” Afridi said when speaking to Roy.

He said that allowing and then restricting the use of the app again and again is not an option.

He declared that TikTok is a “major social issue” and stated that people must “have proper awareness and knowledge of certain things.”

“Many areas of our country don’t have educational facilities yet, but they have Wifi facilities, and people should be aware of this,” Afridi said.

He further stated that people do not know why and how they should use the app, and how much time they should spend using it.

According to Afridi, the age of mobile phone use should be defined.

“My daughter just turned 19, and I now allow her to use her mobile phone,” said the Boom Boom star.
