Shahbaz Sharif criticized the PTI government for “politicizing the life of Nawaz Sharif”

• Shahbaz said that the decision to send Nawaz Sharif to London for treatment was made by the PTI government.
• It is shameful to say that the government makes false statements in the name of political interests.
• Nawaz said that he will decide whether to stay in Pakistan or return to Pakistan based on the doctor’s recommendation.

Islamabad: PML-N President and National Assembly Opposition Leader Shahbaz Sharif criticized the PTI-led government for engaging in “petty politics” during Nawaz Sharif’s life and tried to “damage” by issuing controversial statements Pakistan’s reputation”.

Shahbaz Sharif said that “false statements made in the name of political interests are shameful”, adding that such statements damage Pakistan’s reputation abroad.

“The Pakistani government should consider how its negative comments about former prime minister Nawaz Sharif reflect Pakistan’s reputation,” Shahbaz Sharif said.

He further stated that “politicizing the life of Nawaz Sharif” is insensitive and inhumane.

The opposition leader also stated that the Imran Khan government itself decided to send Nawaz Sharif to London because he could not receive treatment in the country.

Regarding Nawaz Sharif’s stay in the UK and the possibility of returning to Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif said that the decision will be based on the doctor’s recommendation.

Shahbaz Sharif added that PML-N has filed an appeal requesting an extension of stay in the UK and stated that Nawaz Sharif was legally allowed to live in London before the appeal was decided.
