Shadab Khan, Usman Qadir determined to perform well in the Caribbean

Must Read

Lahore: When Pakistan played against the West Indies in the five T20I series that began on July 27, Shadab Khan and Usman Qadir expressed their confidence to make the most of the conditions in the Caribbean.

Courses in this part of the world have similar characteristics to those in South Asia, and the windy conditions on each island further facilitate rotation.

For Shadab, who started his international career in Barbados, these islands hold a special place in his heart. In his debut on March 26, 2017, Shadab’s outstanding leg spin performance earned him three wickets with only 7 runs, and then won the best player of the game award.

As he improved his stature in the next game, he went on to win another game award player, this time he won four wickets.

Then, the 18-year-old Shadarb finished the game with as many as 10 wickets in four T20Is and was named the best player in the series when Pakistan defeated the host 3-1.

When Pakistan faces the world championship next week, he is eager to play a similar role for Pakistan.

In a conversation, Shadarb told Cardir: “The three T20I series against England did not end as we hoped, but our spinner played well in the series tiebreaker, which gave A lot of confidence in the leg rotation department.”

Kadir toured the Caribbean for the U-15 Championship in 2008. He scored 17 wickets in eight games, making the trip unforgettable.

He told Shadarb that as long as there is a chance, he is eager to win the game for Pakistan.

Kadir said: “We will have to consider the wind in our game plan and let the ball fly in the air. Compared with the United Kingdom, we will target outside the net and we will have to introduce the wrong people here to deceive the opposition. The batter.”

Head to head

Pakistan has remained unbeaten against the West Indies in the past four Twenty20 international games. Three of them were performed during the 2018 West Indies Tour Karachi.
