Cristiano Ronaldo looked visibly emotional as he reacted to Al-Nassr fans singing his name while he served a suspension during a recent match against Al-Hazem.

Earlier this week, the 39-year-old soccer legend was slapped with a one-match ban for an obscene gesture he made after hearing supporters of his rival team Al-Shabab chant Lionel Messi’s name to taunt him.

Additionally, along with the suspension, Ronaldo received a fine of SR30,000 (£6,300). However, despite the ban, he was in the stadium to watch and support Al-Nassr as they played Al-Hazem.

After spotting him in the crowd, his fans made sure he heard their appreciation.

In a video, Ronaldo could be seen waving and gesturing towards his fans as they echoed his name across the stadium.

Ronaldo has been a standout for Al-Nassr, scoring 22 league goals and assisting nine times in 20 games, despite being second in the Saudi Pro League behind Al-Hilal.

Al-Nassr is set to face Al-Ain in the first leg of their Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League quarter-final on Sunday, ahead of their return to domestic action against Al-Raed next weekend.
