He called on the international community to cooperate and provide economic assistance to improve the situation in Afghanistan.

Subsequently, the Foreign Minister stated at a press conference that the Afghan delegation is composed of representatives of all ethnic groups living in Afghanistan.

He said that he put forward Pakistan’s views during the meeting with the delegation and took this opportunity to understand the expectations of Afghan leaders for Pakistan.

Qureshi said that his meeting with the delegation was held at a critical moment because it was scheduled to discuss the situation in Afghanistan before the meeting of the National Security Council convened by Prime Minister Imran Khan today (Monday).

He further stated that the Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs called him and asked for assistance in evacuating staff from the country’s embassy in Kabul.

“We have provided them with convenience. 380 people have arrived in Pakistan. From here, they will be sent to Denmark.”

The Foreign Minister added that Pakistan plans to send more flights to Afghanistan to facilitate the evacuation process.

He said that Pakistan hopes that the international community will continue to pay attention to the situation in Afghanistan so that the peace and reconciliation process there will not stall and the chaos there will be brought under control.

In response to a question, he said that a meeting of the National Security Council is scheduled today, and the future course of action for Afghanistan will depend on the decision of the meeting and the instructions of the Prime Minister.
