Punjab’s Ministry of School Education mandates school teachers and staff to be vaccinated

The Punjab Ministry of School Education has stipulated that teachers, administrators and other staff in all public and private schools registered by the department must be vaccinated against the coronavirus before August 22, 2021. Those who have not been vaccinated before the above date will be prohibited from entering the school premises.

The Minister of Schools and Education of Punjab Province, Murad Raas, shared on his official Twitter account on Wednesday the official notification picture issued by the Ministry of Schools and Education of Punjab Province.

“All teachers, administrators and staff in public and private schools in Punjab will be vaccinated before August 22, 2021. Anyone who does not have a vaccination certificate after the specified date will not be allowed [on] School building. Please follow the published SOP,” Raas wrote on Twitter.

According to the notice shared by Russ, based on the content awarded by the meeting with the National Command and Operations Center on Wednesday, an instruction to vaccinate school staff immediately has been issued.

“According to the discussion […], After August 21, 2021, employees of the Ministry of Education who have not been vaccinated shall not enter any school/office,” read the notice.

The above orders apply to administrative officials and officials, teachers, staff and all related individuals.

After the Federal Minister of Education Shafqat Mehmood issued a statement allowing educational institutions across the country to operate, the Punjab Provincial Government decided to reopen schools with a staggered attendance rate of 50%.

Earlier in the day, Mehmood stated that the Inter-provincial Education Conference decided to keep educational institutions across the country open, except for Sindh, which will be closed until at least August 8.
