PU takes action on students ordering beer

Lahore: The Punjab University (PU) administrator has filed an FIR registration application for one of its students to order beer and liquor on campus.
According to a copy provided by The News, PU security guards stopped a motorcycle at Gate 1 of the university and recovered 20 bottles of beer and one bottle of wine from two private individuals. They claimed that these were Khayam, a boarding student from PU Hostel No 18.
PU Chief Security Officer Col (retd) Ubaid Masood filed an FIR registration application at the Muslim Town Police Station. A PU spokesperson stated that the police had not yet shared details about FIR registration, adding that the student had been suspended from school.
