Islamabad: After Pakistani social media severely criticized Prime Minister Imran Khan’s remarks on women’s dressing style and its influence on male seduction, PTI female leaders defended Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul and PTI MNAs Maleeka Ali Bokhari and Kanwal Shauzab believe that the Prime Minister’s comments have been “misunderstood”.

Shauzab said that if you are one of the people who opposed the Prime Minister’s statement in an HBO interview, then you are “disagreeing with Allah’s orders.”

She said that the Prime Minister explained Allah’s orders regarding women.

“We are proud to live in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan,” Shazab said, adding that our society does not accept obscenity.

Bohari also gave a speech in support of the prime minister and said that she was proud to be a member of Parliament under the leadership of “a person who prioritizes the protection of women and children.”

She said that the prime minister’s first instruction to the Ministry of Law was to enact laws to end sexual abuse and violence against women and children.

“The Prime Minister has allocated 100 million rupees in the budget to implement the anti-rape law,” Bohari said.
