Karachi University published the second edition of a book titled “My Pakistan Bante Deka” on Thursday, which is based on the childhood of Professor Said Matin-Ur-Raman Murtaza. memory.

The late Murtazza was a well-known journalist and former head of the Department of Mass Communication at Karachi University. In his book, Professor Murtaza shared his childhood memories of immigrants and mentioned his experience after separation from his younger brother and his family.

The speaker at the new book launch told the audience that this book contains the hardships experienced by Professor Murtaza and how and why he fell in love with Pakistan. Speakers include Dean Art and Social Sciences Professor Dr. Nasreen Aslam Shah, experienced journalist Mahmood Sham, former Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Professor Shams Uddin, former Head of the Department of Mass Communication Professor Tahir Masood, Director of the Composition, Translation and Translation Bureau Syed Iqbal Hussain, Professor Nisar Ahmed Zuberi and Dr. Fauzia Naz, Chair of the Department of Mass Communication.

They talked about what happened when Pakistan was founded, what happened to the people who immigrated to Pakistan, and what Hindus and Sikhs did to them. The speaker observed that since the memory related to the partition is written by witnesses, it will definitely have a huge impact on our younger generation.

The speaker told the audience how Professor Murtaza recalled the time when Muslims left their homes with their families and crossed the river of blood to reach Pakistan.

Professor Nasreen Aslam Shah announced that she will ensure that all seminar libraries must have the book “Mein ne Pakistan Bante Dekha” so that our younger generation can learn.

Dr. Fauzia Naz said that through his writing, he has been mentoring faculty, students, and his audience. Professor Tahir Masood stated that Professor Mateen-ur-Rehman Murtaza has held many positions; he is a teacher, journalist and thinker. “Some intellectuals can even find solutions to difficult and complex problems. He is a great man who doesn’t seek fame and fortune. He used to sit in a corner to complete his work.”

Professor Zubergi said that Professor Murtazza wrote a lot in his short book. He urged young people to read this book to make them realize how difficult it is to migrate from their hometown to their newly established motherland. The faculty, students, and family of Professor Murtaza also participated in the book launch.
