Prime Minister Imran Khan nominated Abdul Kayoum Niyazi as Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir on Wednesday.
Federal Information Minister Favard Chowdhury revealed that the Prime Minister made this decision after “a lot of consultations and suggestions.”

After the recent elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the party won.

Chaudhry Lateef Akbar said that the opposition parties PPP and PML-N have decided to make me their joint candidate for the post of Prime Minister.

“I urge lawmakers to vote for me to bring Azad Kashmir closer to Pakistan,” he said, adding that during the PPP term, Azad Kashmir has taken a historic move.

The election of Prime Minister Azad Kashmir will be held in accordance with Article 13 of the Constitution. Every candidate for prime minister has his own chairman.

Members of parliament will vote publicly in front of the speaker and then withdraw from parliament. All members will leave the AJK parliament after voting.
