Positive rate exceeds 3% after 20 days

Islamabad: The positive rate for the coronavirus in Pakistan is 3.27%, exceeding 3% for the first time since the morning of Wednesday, June 17.

According to data from the National Command and Operations Center, 17 deaths from the virus have been reported in the past 24 hours.

NCOC statistics show that in the last 24 hours after 46,287 tests were performed, 1,517 new COVID-19 cases were detected.

So far, the total number of deaths caused by the virus is 22,469, the total number of cases has reached 966,007, and so far 909,525 people have recovered from the virus. The number of active cases is 34,013.

Although the government has launched a campaign to vaccinate as many people as possible against the new coronavirus, so far only 3.5% of the country’s population has been vaccinated.

On Monday, NCOC warned that after the relaxation of restrictions, multiple industries have violated the Coronavirus SOP, and therefore proposed strict restrictions.
