Islamabad: Police revealed on Sunday that the parents of Zahir Jaffer, who was allegedly involved in the murder of former diplomat’s daughter Noor Mukadam, were arrested for hiding evidence.

At the same time, an order was issued to block Therapy Works, a drug rehabilitation center where Jaffer is believed to seek treatment.

On Twitter, Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Mohamed Hamza Shafkat confirmed the news and wrote: “The sealing order for the treatment has been issued. The parents of the murderer Zahir Ja’far have also been arrested. “

The police stated that the defendant’s parents had been arrested for concealing the crime, and added that two employees who worked for Therapy Works had also been detained.

The defendant appeared in court after completing 3 days of remand awaiting trial

On Saturday, after completing a three-day remand pending trial, the police submitted Jaffer to the court of duty judge Sohaib Bilal Ranjha. Jaffer was arrested after Noor’s father filed a lawsuit against him at the Kohsar Police Station.

According to the police, Jaffer was arrested at the scene of the murder and found the murder weapon-a knife. The police said that a pistol and an iron scimitar found at the defendant’s residence were also confiscated. The defendant’s mobile phone was also confiscated.

According to the source, the defendant had planned the crime and made some of his friends confident in the plan a few days before the incident.

A source also told the police that Jaffer was worried about being arrested while he was planning a murder. However, because he holds American citizenship, he is confident that he will survive the disaster.

According to a source, the defendant called Nuer at the residence and asked her to turn off her mobile phone. When her parents couldn’t reach her, they began to ask her friends about her whereabouts.

When some of Noor’s friends went to Jaffer’s residence to ask about the deceased, he denied seeing her. The source told the police that after that, Nuer’s friend had a scuffle with the defendant.

After the brutal killing of Noor, the defendant tried to flee to the United States, but was arrested in time.

It is worth noting that Jaffer had previously been deported from the United Kingdom for assaulting women.

PM asks IGP to “not compromise” in the investigation

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan asked the chief of Islamabad police to “not make any concessions” when investigating the murder of Noor.

On Friday, Shah Bazgir, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Political Communication, shared this.

According to the police, 27-year-old Noor was murdered in the F-7 district of the federal capital on Tuesday.

This terrible incident triggered a national campaign to bring justice to her, and #JusticeforNoor became a hot trend on Twitter.

Gill stated that the prime minister is “personally monitoring” the case and has asked the IGP to provide a report.

“The prime minister has ordered justice for Nur Mukadam’s family,” the aide said.

“We all have daughters. I would like to ask the opposition party to unite with us in this regard,” he added.

He asked the court to “comply with all the requirements of the law” and asked the authorities to investigate the crime “on the merits”.

Jill also talked about Noor’s mother, he quoted her as saying that her daughter was a “soft-hearted girl” who had suffered “cruel torture.”

He said that if the police understand the murderer’s behavior in time, “then her life may be saved.”

The prime minister’s assistant said that as the investigation progresses, things become clearer and that “the facts of the case will be shared with the whole country”.

He said: “Noor will never come back, but what can be done is justice.”

Gil said that in addition to the Prime Minister’s personal investment in the investigation results, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid and Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari also kept in touch with the police and constantly sought updates.

“We will not disclose any details until the police have completed the investigation,” he said. “Please give the police some time to complete their investigation. Please rest assured that justice will be served,” the assistant said.

‘People who are not mentally disabled’

Earlier, Noor’s father was Pakistan’s former ambassador to South Korea and Kazakhstan. He gave a speech at a press conference to thank Prime Minister Gil and Mazari for their personal interest in this case.

“This is not a situation where the suspect escaped. He was caught and caught by a weapon,” Mukadam said.

He said that Jaffer “is not a person with a mental disorder.”

“If such a person is hired as a director of a company, then his parents must also participate in the investigation,” Mukadam asked.

“My daughter is a very cute and kind girl. Since then, our family has been crying hard [her murder],” He says.

Mukadam said that he serves the country as an ambassador, only for justice.

“This is a clear case. The murderer is standing in front of us,” he said.

The former diplomat said that the murder was witnessed by the “gatekeeper” of the house.

The name of the suspect will be added to the ECL

At the same time, after meeting with the investigation team of the Central Police Department, IGP instructed it to contact relevant agencies and add the suspect’s name to the Exit Control List (ECL).

The chief of police also instructed the team to obtain his criminal record (if any) from the United Kingdom and the United States.

The meeting was attended by DIG Operation Afzaal Ahmad Kausar, SSP Operation Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer, SSP Investigation Ata-ur-Rehman, SP City Zone Rana Abdul Wahab and ASP Kohsar Amna Baig and other officials.

When reporting the progress of the case to the Islamabad IGP, the head of the investigation team SSP Investigating Ata-ur-Rehman said that in addition to the two security guards, the statements of the victim’s parents and the suspect’s father had been recorded.

The police chief was told that the forensic team had also provided evidence after the investigation.

The IGP stated that all evidence obtained from the incident “should be forensic” and added that as part of the investigation, the Therapy Works team should be contacted.

IGP expressed satisfaction with the investigation so far and stated that all requirements for justice should be met, and no pressure or suggestions should be considered in order to punish criminals.
