Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan will launch today (Thursday) the first locally produced electric bicycle in Pakistan.
The launch of electric bicycles is part of the current government’s five-year Pakistan Electric Vehicle Policy for 2020-2025, which was approved last year to create a strong electric vehicle market, with 30% of passenger cars and heavy-duty vehicles each. There are many models of electric bicycles to choose from, including JE-70, JE-70 L, JE-70 D, JE-100 L, JE-125 L, JE-Scooty, JE-Sports Bike. Gears and other features such as low maintenance can be charged at night.
The various models of Jolta E-Bike have different speed specifications, ranging from 10 to 60 kilometers per hour, and can travel 60 to 100 kilometers when fully charged.
