Yusuf, and Punjab Police Chief Inam Ghani informed the country that they were investigating the Jowhar town bombing. Yusuf detailed how India sponsored the attack, and after the explosion, thousands of cyberattacks attempted to divert attention from the explosion.

He said that the prime minister has instructed his team to “use all possible legal and political means to reach people in the international terrorist network outside Pakistan.”
