On Friday, Prime Minister Imran Khan knew nothing about his remarks that he “hoped to transform Azad Jammu and Kashmir” into a new province in Pakistan.

“I don’t know where all these conversations are coming from,” he refuted any thoughts of this kind of thinking in a speech at the election rally in Talalkajal.

“But what I want to say now is that in 1948, the UN Security Council had two resolutions that granted the people of Kashmir the right to decide their own future. According to the UN resolutions, the people must decide whether they want to join Hindustan or Pakistan.

“I want to clarify to all of you today. InshaAllah, one day, all the sacrifices made by the people of Kashmir will not be wasted. God will grant you this right. There will be a referendum, InshaAllah.

He expressed confidence that the people would choose to live with Pakistan that day.

The Prime Minister continued to say that after the UN authorized the referendum, his government will hold another referendum, and the people of Kashmir will choose to live with Pakistan or become an independent country.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the freedom struggle before the split of Kashmir began more than 100 years ago, when people stood up again and again against the Dogra government.

The Dogra family is a dynasty of the Hindu Rajputs who ruled Jammu and Kashmir from 1846 to 1947.

Regarding the elections for the Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir scheduled to be held on Sunday, the Prime Minister said that there have been rumors that “there will be manipulation.”

He said that when he used to play cricket, it was standard practice for the country to have its own referee, and he was afraid that a team that lost to a strong team would be the first to lose the game because of the opponent’s referee. Host.

“The Noon League, I really believe that it has never done one thing honestly and has already started to talk about manipulation.

“The government is yours, the staff are yours, and the election committee is made up of people you choose. We do the elections?” He asked the parties.

He shared an anecdote about playing cricket at Gymkhana Club in Lahore. He said that one day he and his friends noticed that a “fat man who seemed to be passionate about playing cricket” visited the club.

“That person is Nawaz Sharif,” the prime minister said.

PM Imran Khan said “from then on everything he will continue to say is true” and added that those who played at the club in those days will support him.

The Prime Minister said that Nawaz’s cricket was “as good as his politics”.

“But then he became the Minister of Finance. When he came to the game, he would bring his referees to the ground: one as the deputy commissioner and the other as the commissioner. Whenever he went out, they would announce that it was ball-free. “Since then, the league has fallen into this bad habit at noon. For them, they are good referees only when they are their own people,” Prime Minister Imran Khan said.

The Prime Minister said that in the 200-year history of cricket, it was Pakistan who brought the neutral referees, and the captain at the time “stands in front of you”. He said that the West Indies were the strongest team in cricket at the time, and even losing to them gracefully was a difficult task. Pakistan brought a neutral referee to the game in 1986.

“Today, there are neutral referees all over the world.”

The Prime Minister said that the government has been asking the opposition parties to cooperate with the government to carry out electoral reforms in the past year, “but no one has ever come.”

“We recommended an electronic voting machine. As a result, after the election, just press a button and the result will come out.

The Prime Minister said: “You don’t have to worry about passing a box of tickets, you don’t have to worry about the theft of the box, and you don’t have to worry about double stamping. This is a miracle of technology. The results are immediate.”

He said that the opposition party “refused to listen and is crying now.”

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistan “will become a great country” and everyone can rest assured.

He said that during the half-hour drive to the rally venue, he was surrounded by beautiful scenery. With a little effort, Pakistan can make a fortune from the tourism industry.

The Prime Minister expressed regret over the impact of the war on terrorism on Pakistan and said that the region has suffered the most.

He said that after his government came to power, according to a UN report, the poverty rate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa dropped significantly in 2013 and 2018.

The governor said that the province that spends the most on human development is KP. In 2013, there was a coalition government, and then in 2018, “never a province that has voted for a single party twice, won the PTI with a two-thirds majority”.

“Therefore, my first effort will be to reduce poverty in Azad Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.

Citing the Ehsaas plan, 40% of the poor will receive subsidized food by December.

He also cited the Kamiyab Pakistan plan, saying that one person in each family will receive technical education and this family will have health insurance worth 1 million rupees.

In addition, a person will get an interest-free loan to start a business.

“We have set aside 500 billion rupees for the plan,” he said.

The Prime Minister asked if anyone had fought for Kashmir in international forums in the past 10 years. “You can evaluate the two governments in the past 10 years and the three years we have been in power.”

“Does anyone go to the United Nations? Does anyone give interviews abroad?

“What about all these things, Narendra Modi was invited to the wedding. He was talking bad about Pakistan, blinding the Kashmir people with a bullet gun and torturing them. After many begging and pleading, he was invited Attend the wedding,” the prime minister said.

When referring to a book by Barkha Dutt, he said that it stated that Nawaz Sharif “had a secret meeting with Modi.”

“He held a secret meeting because he was afraid of the Pakistani army. Then, he went to India, but because of fear of angering Modi, he did not meet with the Hurriyat leader.

“You leaders. Ask them. What have they done in the five years in power here?” He said, while he continued to criticize PML-N.

He also spared no effort to mention PPP.

“There is also Zardari. If he has time not to count the money, he will think of Kashmir,” the prime minister said.

Prime Minister Imran Khan promised that he will continue to speak for the people of Kashmir. “Pakistan will always stand by your side,” he added.

The Prime Minister said: “I want to pay tribute to Ali Gilani and his struggle in the occupied Kashmir prison. And Yasin Malik.”

He said that when there was an earthquake in Azad Jammu and Kashmir 16 years ago, Yasin Malik and he visited the affected areas here. “He brought money from Kashmir and distributed it to the people here. I will never forget this.”

“Keep on being patient Yasin Malik. InshaAllah, good times will come soon. The entire country of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir are with you, praying for you and the people of Kashmir.”

“This is our belief. Kashmir will do the right thing and determine its own future,” he reiterated at the end of his speech.
