Those who are interested in seeing the Earth’s neighbors can enjoy it this week. Mars and Venus-the two closest neighbors on Earth-will be closest to each other in the sky on Tuesday, giving sky-gazers the opportunity to observe these planets with the naked eye.

After sunset, in clear weather conditions, both Mars and Venus will appear on the western horizon.

Before that, the moon will be closest to these two planets on Monday.

This unique phenomenon is part of the planetary conjunction. This conjunction occurs when two planets appear to be closer, but in fact they are far apart.

From Earth, Mars and Venus may be 0.5 degrees apart, although they are actually farther apart. The Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) in Bangalore said that the rendezvous will also include the Earth’s moon approaching within four degrees of the planet.

“Mars and Venus are close to each other in the sky. July 13 is only 0.5 degrees (as wide as the moon). The moon will also be close to them on July 12. This is visible to the naked eye, so every night from today Go out and have a look. We bring you 12 posters!” The institute posted IIAstrophysics on its Twitter.

Both Mars and Venus are expected to gradually move away after Tuesday. The planetary arrangement can only be observed from the earth. It can be seen in the clear sky from anywhere in India. Two planets can be found in the same frame through a telescope or binoculars. The path angle settings in northern India are slightly different.
