Islamabad: According to daily data released by the National Command and Operations Center, the positive rate of coronavirus in Pakistan today dropped to 1.69%. This is the lowest positive rate recorded in the country in eight months.

The last time the country recorded the lowest positive rate on October 18, which was 1.64%.

The number of daily COVID-19 cases detected in Pakistan has also decreased significantly.

According to NCOC data, in the past 24 hours, 663 new infections were detected and 27 people died from the virus.

NCOC stated that a total of 39,017 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours.

So far, the total number of people who have died of COVID-19 in the country has reached 22,034, the total number of cases has reached 949,838, and so far 894,352 people have recovered from the virus. The current number of active cases is 33,452.

In the past 24 hours, Punjab has the highest number of deaths, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Of the 27 deaths, 17 died from ventilators.
