Pakistani army commemorates the 94th anniversary of the Chinese army at GHQ

A statement issued by the Inter-Service Public Relations Department (ISPR) stated that the Pakistan Army held an event to commemorate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) at the Rawalpindi headquarters on Thursday.

General Kamal Javed Bajwa, Chief of Staff of the Army, was the main guest at the event. Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Lang, Defense Attache Major General Chen Wenrong, as well as officials from the Chinese Embassy and the armed forces. Pakistan also participated in this event.

The statement said that the Chinese military attache thanked the Chinese Marine Corps for the reception held on the eve of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army in his speech.

The military attache recalled Chinese President Xi Jinping’s view that Pakistan’s armed forces are the mainstay of Pakistan-China strategic relations, saying that China and Pakistan are hard-core brothers, all-weather friends, and strategic partners.

“No matter how the world situation changes, we will always be united to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and maintain regional peace and stability.”

COAS praised the leadership of the People’s Liberation Army and its role in China’s national defense, security, and nation-building. COAS emphasized all aspects of the deep-rooted relationship between the two countries, the military and the people, and stated that the Pakistan-China relationship is unique and strong, proving its resilience in the face of challenges.

In the ever-changing security environment, the Pakistan-China partnership has become increasingly important to regional peace and stability. COAS says that our past and present prove that we have never succumbed to challenges.

COAS concluded that PLA and the Pakistani military are brothers, and our relationship will continue to contribute to safeguarding our collective interests.
