The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s role in Afghanistan, including the successful evacuation operations, efforts for regional stability and pledged to play their role for further improvements in diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan at all levels, the ISPR added.
In August General Bajwa said Pakistan desired to maintain a long-term and enduring relationship with the United States.
The COAS’s statement came after US Charge d’Affairs Angela Aggeler called on him at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
Pakistan remains committed to the Afghan peace process and will continue to work with all stakeholders for a peaceful settlement, reiterated the army chief in the meeting.
