Pakistan records 4,722 new corona infections and 46 deaths every day

The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) said on Wednesday that Pakistan had recorded 4,722 new infections in the past 24 hours.

The NCOC stated that the total number of confirmed cases in the country has risen to 1,047,999, of which 945,829 have recovered, adding that the positive rate of infection is 8.22%.
NCOC stated that in the past 24 hours, COVID-19 has claimed 46 lives across the country, bringing the death toll from the disease to 23,575, adding that 3,858 people are in critical condition.

To date, 16,215,728 tests have been performed to diagnose this deadly virus, of which 57,398 tests have been performed in the past 24 hours.
Sindh province is the most affected area in the country with 389,699 infections, followed by Punjab province with 359,321 cases reported.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province ranked third with 145,862 cases. So far, 88,676 people in Islamabad, 30,749 people in Balochistan, 25,301 people in AJK and the United Kingdom have reported 8,391 new infections.
