Pakistan records 2,145 new cases of corona every day

Pakistan has recorded 2,145 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 993,872.
According to data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), another 37 people died from the infection during this period, bringing the death toll to 22,848.
A total of 40,805 samples were tested, of which 2,145 were found to carry the deadly virus. NCOC stated that the infection rate was recorded at 5.25%.
The total number of tests performed to diagnose a pandemic in the country is 15,484,282, and 921,095 people have recovered from COVID-19.
2,697 people are still in critical condition and are being treated in various hospitals in the country.
Yesterday, Pakistani Medical Association (PMA) Secretary Dr. Qaiser Sajjad warned that the rapid increase of Delta variants in Karachi and Lahore in India could cause the COVID situation to get out of control.
Dr. Qaiser Sajjad said that the Delta variant is spreading rapidly in Karachi, and Lahore has also reported COVID-19 cases of this variant. He said: “I beg people to implement the Coronavirus SOP, especially when going to Eid al-Fitr and the bull market.”
