Pakistan records 1,980 new corona cases every day

Pakistan has recorded 1,980 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 978,847.

According to data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), another 24 people died from the disease during this period, bringing the death toll to 22,642.
A total of 47,472 tests have been performed in the past 24 hours, and 1,980 patients have tested positive. The positive rate of infection was 4.17%.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health of Sindh Province confirmed that Karachi had reported 35 cases of Delta variant, a highly infectious COVID-19 strain first discovered in India.

35 Delta variants were detected in samples collected from June 25 to July 9.

The cases also involved a family of five living in the Lyari area of ​​Karachi.
