Pakistan recorded 1,828 new corona infections in 24 hours

Pakistan has reported 1,828 new coronavirus (Covid-19) cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of viruses in the country to 971,304.
Within a day, another 35 people died from this deadly disease, bringing the national death toll to 22,555.
According to the latest National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) update, as many as 36,454 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours, of which 1,828 patients have tested positive.
It said the infection rate rose slightly to 3.79% from 3.65% yesterday.
There are currently 36,454 active cases nationwide. The number of people who recovered overnight increased by 912, and the number of people cured reached 912,295.
On Friday, Asad Umar, the Federal Minister of Planning and Development and the head of the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), warned that this was a clear sign that the fourth wave of COVID-19 hit the country.
When sharing the news on Twitter, Assad Omar said that two weeks ago, he shared that their artificial intelligence model is showing a possible fourth wave.
“There are now clear early signs of the beginning of Wave 4,” he said, blaming it on poor SOP compliance, coupled with the worrisome spread of variants, especially the Delta variant in India.
