Pakistan off to a flier start chasing 227-run target

New Zealand amassed 226 runs in 20 over after being put into bat by Pakistan in the first T20 match in Auckland on Friday. In response Pakistan got off to a hot start, scoring 29 in two overs.
Kane Williamson scored 57 and Daryl Mitchell scored 61 as New Zealand put up the big total at the loss of six wickets. Aamir Jamal was the most expensive bowler for Pakistan, leaking 55 runs of his four overs.
The match saw Shaheen Shah Afridi making his captaincy debut, while Abbas Afridi and Usama Mir also got their caps. The captain dismissed Devon Conway in the first over to get off to a strong start for the green shirts.
The batting order is also set to see changes with Saim Ayub opening with Muhammad Rizwan. Azam Khan will keep wickets.
