Pakistan observes Youm-e-Ashura through a national mourning parade under strict security conditions

Pakistan, today (Thursday) under severe security, commemorates Muharram’s Youm-e-Ashura on the 10th with its due solemnity, to commemorate the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).

This is the second time Ashura has been observed in the country under the shadow of the coronavirus pandemic.

The government has shut down mobile services in the country’s major cities, including Karachi, Hyderabad, Quetta and Sukkur to avoid any unfortunate incident.

The main parade in Karachi will start in Nishtar Park and end in the Hussein Iranian in Haradhar, where Allama Shahenshah Naqvi will speak.

Participants of the parade will pray in the center of Tibet, and all connecting roads in Majinna have been blocked to provide security for the parade.

The parade will start in Hyderabad and Chang at 9 am, Faisalabad at 10 am, Gujranwala and Rohri at 11 am, and Sukkur and Kerpur at 12 noon.

The parade started in Quetta at 8 am and started in De la Ismail Khan at 7:30 am.

Due to the fourth wave of the pandemic, the country has seen an increase in cases and has also issued a standard operating procedure (SOP) for mourning marches to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Strict security arrangements have been made and all relevant security departments have been notified to avoid any unfortunate incidents during the mourning procession. Pakistan Radio Report.

On this occasion, President Dr. Arif Alvi said that the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (RA) of Hazrat was a symbol of determination and perseverance, and urged the country to get rid of hatred, malice and sectarianism in accordance with his teachings.

The president said: “We must become a metaphor for the determination and stability of our religion, nation, and country, and be prepared for all kinds of sacrifices.”

President Alvi said that following this path will lead to success in the world and in the afterlife, because he emphasized that Ashura has a special place in the hearts of Muslim Uma.

President Alvi said that the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), his family and other loyal companions sacrificed their lives while fighting the forces of tyranny and oppression.

He said that immortal sacrifice has revived the spirit of Islam. Even today, this character is still a source of inspiration for believers in times of trials and tribulations.

He said that the best way to pay tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) is to promise to live according to his teachings.

He said that in the fourth wave of COVID-19, the country must take preventive measures, especially during the Ashura rallies and parades.

He urged the public to take preventive measures and standard operating procedures issued by the government, and vaccinate to protect themselves.

Prime Minister Imran Khan urged his compatriots to pay tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussein (RA) by supporting truth and justice, while frustrating false tactics while observing Youm-e-Ashura in the country.

In his speech to the nation on Muharram 10 (Muharram 10), the Prime Minister said that Imam Hussein (RA) has proved through his practice that one should always stand on the side of the truth and do not hesitate to do something for someone. A career sacrificed his life.

He said that Imam Hussein (RA) and his companions were martyred after refusing to accept Yazid’s aggression.

The Prime Minister said that Imam Hussein prefers to die for martyrdom rather than to bow before tyranny.

The Prime Minister said that even before the advent of Islam, Youm-e-Ashura was an important day, but due to the sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), its importance has multiplied.

He said that the martyrdom of Imam Hussein was a tragedy, and although centuries have passed, it has always saddened Muslims.

The Prime Minister stated that Iman Hussein (RA) has become a symbol of the power to oppose lies, and also a source of strength for all future movements against tyranny.

He said that the dispute between truth and falsehood will always exist and will continue in the future, but we should support truth and justice every time.

He also advised compatriots to ensure the implementation of anti-COVID-19 standard operating procedures to protect the country from the pandemic.
