President Arif Alvi said on Saturday that Pakistan is a rapidly developing emerging country.

He delivered a speech to the nation after unfolding the national flag at the main flag-raising ceremony in Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad today (Saturday).

The president said that this country is in the right direction and is ready to become a powerful country.

He emphasized the need to instill hope in the country and reject all kinds of negative propaganda and fake news directed at the country.

President Arif Alvi paid warm tribute to the struggle and sacrifice of the founding fathers. He recalled that the country has made significant achievements in various fields and overcome many challenges since its independence.

He pointed out that Pakistan has successfully dealt with the threat of terrorism, and that our security forces, society and people’s victory over terrorism is commendable.

The country celebrating the 75th anniversary of its independence has renewed determination to cooperate with the spirit of the Pakistani movement to make the country a true Islamic welfare state.

At least 27 people were injured in a celebratory shooting incident on the night of Karachi Independence Day.
