Pakistan has reported more than 1,800 new COVID-19 cases and more than 36,000 active cases

Islamabad: Pakistan continues to report an increase in coronavirus cases, with the number of active cases exceeding 36,000 on Saturday morning.

Currently, the number of active cases in the country is 36,454.

According to data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), Pakistan has reported 1,828 more coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, and another 35 people have died from the deadly epidemic.

Another 912 COVID-19 patients recovered, and the positive rate rose to 3.79%.

The total number of deaths from the coronavirus nationwide has reached 22,555, while the total number of patients has reached 971,304.

A total of 36,454 patients across the country received coronavirus treatment in hospitals, quarantine centers and families, of which 2,049 patients are in critical condition, and a total of 912,295 patients have recovered from the disease so far.

In the past 24 hours, 422,743 people across Pakistan have been vaccinated against the coronavirus.

How is the coronavirus situation in all provinces?

Punjab has the largest number of coronavirus patients, with 347,793 cases reported so far. Punjab State also had the highest total death toll, reaching 10,815.

The number of patients in Sindh has risen to 345,269, bringing the total death toll to 5,583.

The total number of cases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has risen to 139,162 and the death toll is 4,353.

In the federal capital, 83,513 patients were infected with the virus, resulting in 782 deaths.

To date, Balochistan has reported 27,863 cases, of which 317 people have died of the virus.

In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan has reported 20,935 cases of the virus and 6,769 cases so far, while 594 and 111 deaths have been reported in these two provinces, respectively.
