Pakistan adds 72 new crown deaths and 3,669 new infections

In the past 24 hours, 72 people have died from COVID-19 in Pakistan, bringing the country’s total death toll to 24,478.
The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) stated that the total number of confirmed cases in the country has risen to 1,102,079 after the emergence of 3,669 new infections.
A total of 989,013 people recovered from the pandemic, adding that the positive rate of infection was 6.8%.
NCOC stated that COVID-19 has claimed 72 lives across Pakistan in the past 24 hours, adding that 4,787 people are in critical condition.
To date, Pakistan has performed a total of 16,902,015 tests to diagnose the deadly virus, of which 53,644 tests have been performed in the past 24 hours.
Sindh province is the most affected area of the country with 412,165 infections, followed by Punjab province with 372,750 cases reported.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province ranked third with 152,625 cases. So far, 9,396 new infections have been reported in Islamabad, 94,108, Balochistan 31,583, AJK 29,452 and GB.
Earlier, the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) launched a mobile application that enables citizens to download their Covid-19 vaccination certificates to their smartphones.
