Islamabad: The number of deaths caused by the coronavirus in Pakistan has been steadily declining. Only 27 deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours, which is the lowest number of deaths per day from the virus in three months.

According to the National Command and Operations Center’s daily COVID-19 report, in the past 24 hours, 46,269 coronavirus tests have been conducted across the country, of which 991 people have tested positive.

The rate of positive cases on the official portal was 2.14%.

The number of deaths from the coronavirus in the country in the past 24 hours is the lowest in a single day since March 21. On March 21, 20 people were reported to have died from the virus.

So far, the total number of deaths has reached 21,940, the total number of cases has reached 947,218, and so far 889,787 people have recovered from the virus.

The total number of active cases is 35,491.
