Islamabad: Pakistan has 830 new coronavirus infections, and the number of daily cases recorded for the first time in nearly a week on Tuesday morning was less than 1,000.

According to the daily COVID-19 report from the National Command and Operations Center, 25 people have died from the virus in the past 24 hours. This brings the total death toll from the virus to 22,452.

The last time Pakistan reported fewer than 1,000 daily cases was on June 30, when 979 cases of COVID-19 were recorded.

The country’s coronavirus positive rate is currently 2.22%, with 33,390 active cases.

The latest data released by NCOC shows that after 37,364 tests on July 5, 830 people tested positive for the coronavirus.

According to the breakdown of the provinces, so far, the total number of cases reported in Sindh is 341,275, Punjab 347,014, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 138,616, Islamabad Capital Territory 83,048, and Balochistan 27,445. Gilgit-Baltis Province 4 and 50 806.
