According to a statement from the forum, there have been cases of delta mutations in Pakistan, which may cause the fourth wave of coronavirus.

In response to this variant and other variants that have emerged in Pakistan, NCOC has developed an action plan.

The statement said: “Failure to take precautions against the Delta variant may lead to dangerous consequences.”

NCOC observed that hundreds of thousands of people died in India due to the Delta variant, coupled with the lack of oxygen, countless people suffered.

The forum decided to strengthen the implementation of safety precautions, especially between July 9th and 18th.

The statement said that various proposals are being considered to curb unnecessary Eid al-Fitr activities, and added that the decision to implement these proposals will take into account the spread of the virus.

The country’s top COVID-19 agency has warned that tourist attractions will be banned if cases continue to increase.

Workers in the following sectors must be vaccinated before July 31:

  • Private and corporate sector employees.
  • Practitioners in large, medium and small industries.
  • Workers related to the agriculture and media sectors, lawyers, factory workers, and people working in the market, including trolley suppliers.
  • All workers related to transportation and hospitality.
  • All gymnasium staff.
  • Employees of the mosque, including imams.

Vaccination certificate policy

NCOC stated that after August 1, no one can travel without a vaccination certificate.

Tourists aged 30 and above are not allowed to enter tourist attractions without a vaccination certificate.

The head of NCOC warns of signs of the fourth wave

Earlier in the day, NCOC head Asad Umar stated that due to poor compliance with standard operating procedures (SOP) and the spread of Delta variants, the fourth wave of COVID-19 began to have “clear early signs” in Pakistan.

Omar said that he warned two weeks ago that the government’s artificial intelligence model may have a fourth wave in July.

Omar expressed dissatisfaction with non-compliance with the COVID-19 agreement and warned to close departments that did not comply with instructions issued by health authorities.

“Reports on the spot show that people attending indoor weddings, going to indoor restaurants and gyms completely ignore the vaccination situation. If the owners of these facilities do not take responsibility and ensure compliance, they will have no choice but to close them,” he said. Wrote on Twitter.

PM urges the use of masks and vaccination

Yesterday, Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed the country in a televised speech, urging the public to strictly abide by the COVID-19 SOP stipulated by the government, especially on the occasion of Hari Raya, to prevent the spread of the virus.

“Even though I know people are tired of SOPs all over the world and I understand this, I still want to appeal to the masses again [at least] Wear a mask at all times, so that the country can avoid a possible fourth wave of pandemic. “

He explained that as long as someone is with other people in a confined space (including wedding events, restaurants and rooms), they should always wear a mask, because the possibility of the virus spreading in the indoor environment is very high.

The Prime Minister explained: “If someone is outdoors, such as in a park, they can take off their masks, but when they are in a bus or car with other people, they must wear a mask.” Holding a mask in his hand.

“Wearing a mask is a very easy job. This simple step can save the country and our economy from disaster,” he continued.

PM Khan said that poverty has spread all over the world, and the poor have to suffer because of the lockdown.

“Therefore, I will require Pakistanis to wear masks compulsorily and take preventive measures, especially during Eid al-Fitr,” he said.

He said: “The government has put a lot of pressure on people to comply with the SOP. I appreciate the country’s tolerance for us, but if you want to avoid further blockades and restrictions, then continue to wear masks.”

The prime minister also urged people to get vaccinated. He said that even if Pakistan does not produce its own anti-coronavirus vaccine and the speed of vaccination is not as fast as in the United States, people should still use the country’s existing vaccines to vaccinate themselves. ASAP.
