The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) warned on Monday that if violations of the coronavirus agreement continue, strict restrictions will be imposed across the country.

A statement from the forum stated that the NCOC’s warning was issued at a meeting with Federal Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar as chair.

The forum expressed serious concerns about the violation of SOP in industries such as catering, indoor stadiums, wedding venues, transportation, markets, and tourist attractions.

The National Olympic Committee decided to convene the chief secretaries of the provinces to convene a meeting to review violations, formulate a strict standard operating procedure implementation mechanism, and increase vaccination efforts across the country.

NCOC negotiated with all federal agencies to increase the number of vaccination centers in provinces that will receive Moderna vaccine.

A total of 59 centers have been added, including 15 in Punjab, 10 in Sindh, 14 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 4 in Balochistan, 5 in Islamabad in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gir 6 Gite-Baltistan.

The Coronavirus Vaccination Verification Portal has been established to facilitate people who want to enter places where COVID-19 needs to be vaccinated.

The statement said: “All vaccinated staff and the public are urged to ensure that their vaccination records are entered into the National Immunization Management System (NIMS) when vaccinating.”

As many as 3,000 Afghan students studying in different educational institutions in Pakistan will arrive in the country. “A valid COVID-19 test has been scheduled on the student’s arrival.”

Students who test positive will be returned, and the remaining students will be quarantined for 10 days. After the isolation period ends, students will be vaccinated.
