The Prime Minister’s internal affairs and accountability adviser Mirza Shahzad Akbar said on Thursday that Punjab parliament member Nazir Johan “falsely accused” him and then “continued to publicly express his views”.

The prime minister’s aides asserted that Chohan had launched a “false campaign” against him, “putting his and his family’s lives at risk”.

“I complained to the police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FIA) as an ordinary citizen,” Akbar said.

“Chohan was arrested on charges that proved to be against him during the investigation, and I hope I can get justice,” he added.

Akbar said that if every citizen stands up for his rights, “all extremists in society will be defeated.”

Chohan was remanded to FIA supervision

At the same time, Chohan was handed over to the FIA ​​for a two-day remand in kind.

Earlier, the FIA ​​team produced the MPA in front of the Magistrate Yousaf Abdur Rehman of the Lahore District Court.

The FIA ​​submitted that MPA was arrested on suspicion of a case registered under the Cyber ​​Law. They asked the court for permission to physically remand MPA for investigation.

The court accepted the request and instructed the officials to show the MPA when the judicial remand period expired on July 31.

According to Articles 11 and 20 of the Prevention of Electronic Crime Act (PECA), read Akbar’s complaint in accordance with Articles 298, 500, 505(C), 506, and 29 of the Pakistan Criminal Code and file a lawsuit with MPA. Telegraph law.

Consecutive arrests within two days

Chohan was arrested by the FIA ​​on Wednesday, the second time in two days.

The day before, he was detained by the Lahore police in another case brought by Akbar. He was later released on bail on the same day.

First Information Report (FIR) Register on May 29, Pointed out that in view of Akbar’s work in “ensure accountability”, such allegations that Akbar’s religious beliefs have been questioned have been rehabilitated by Chohan.

FIR wrote: “The above-mentioned crimes have caused damage to the applicant’s reputation, body, property and spirit, and caused public hatred against the applicant in public, thereby endangering the applicant’s life.”

Akbar’s complaint was filed after Chohan allegedly made a statement on television, and fragments of the statement went viral on social media.
