Nawaz shares action plan with PML-N govt to clean up PTI ‘filth’


Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said on Thursday that the policy line that the government needed from the leadership to clean up the “filth” spread during the last four years was taken from PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and added that his vision will soon be implemented with the consent of allied parties.

The interior minister after attending a meeting of the PML-N leadership said that all the decisions to take the country out of the economic and constitutional crisis will be announced soon after taking the coalition partners of the government into confidence.

Besides Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his elder brother — three-time PM Nawaz Sharif, the London meeting was attended by federal ministers, Rana Sanaullah, Ahsan Iqbal, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Miftah Ismail among others.

PM Shehbaz along with federal ministers and party leadership deliberated upon the ongoing political, economic and constitutional crisis in the country for the second consecutive day in London.

The party leadership was given briefings on the prevailing crisis and consultations were held on various proposals for taking the country out of the dire straits and dealing with the violators of the Constitution.

Talking to the media after the meeting on Thursday, Iqbal, Aurangzeb and Sanaullah said that all efforts were being made to take the country out of economic and constitutional crisis, reiterating that the decisions will be announced with the support of the coalition parties.

Sanaullah said that former premier Imran Khan destroyed the country's economy and political values, adding Imran was dividing the whole nation and misleading the youth.

Reiterating that Nawaz has given guidance on the prevailing issues, Sanaullah said that Nawaz Sharif has made it clear that action should be taken against those violating the constitution. “Imran Khan promoted a culture of rudeness in the country's politics,” he said, saying not only the economy but also the politics of lies will be fixed.

Accusing ex-PM Imran of destroying the economy and political values, Sanaullah said that the decision regarding PTI’s upcoming long march will be taken by the federal cabinet. He said that Imran was misleading the youth of the country.

"During the last four years, the country and its economy have been destroyed, the political traditions have been trampled, Imran Khan is introducing a culture of rudeness in the country, dividing the nation and misleading the youth," Sanaullah said.

Nawaz has made it clear that action should be taken against those violating the constitution, Sanaullah said, adding that all the constitutional requirements against those who have violated the constitution will be fulfilled. “There is zero tolerance for violating the constitution,” he said, no one will be allowed to spread chaos and anarchy in the country.

Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said that Imran Khan wanted to trigger a civil war in the country claiming that the PTI chairman was allegedly running an organised campaign against the institutions. To take the country out of the ongoing crisis, Iqbal said, immediate decision making was needed. He, however, said that all decisions will be taken in consultation with allies.

Finance Minister Miftah said that Pakistan had received the bulk of the £190m seized in London and asked Imran to explain to whose account the money was transferred. Alleging that Farah Gogi was given recruitment authority in Punjab in exchange for money, Miftah questioned under which law she was allowed to do so. “Did Farah Gogi share this money with anyone or keep it herself,” he questioned.
