Mardan: On Friday, when the 11th grade students took the math test papers at a test center in Mardan, they received the exam papers for the 9th grade.
Once the students pointed out that they had received the wrong test paper, the test was cancelled. However, the students in Class 11 were asked to come to the examination room again at 2 pm.
Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mardan, Imtiaz Ayub told Geographic News A mistake in entering the class name on the test paper caused confusion.
“I apologize for the error and wasted time, but it was an unintentional human error and did not cause any loss to anyone,” Ayub said.
On Tuesday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) started the annual examinations for the 9th and 11th grades.
KP Education Minister Shahram Khan Tarakai announced on his Twitter account on Monday that the exam will begin. The minister encouraged the students and wished them good luck in the exam.
According to Tarakai, the total number of 9th grade students taking part in the province’s annual board examination is 415,962, and the total number of 11th grade students is 256,234.
