According to an official from the Haidley Police Department, an employee of a restaurant office was shot and killed in a robbery in District H in the North Nazimabad neighborhood of Karachi on Saturday.

After receiving information about the incident, the police and rescuers took the seriously injured victim to Abbas Shahid Hospital, where he was identified as 35-year-old Ali Lahir. He was shot in the head and died from his injuries during treatment.

Abdul Aziz, the owner of the catering company, said that the deceased was his employee and the father of four children, adding that he lived in the Kausar Niazi colony.

CCTV camera footage of the incident was also circulating on social media, showing a motorcyclist wearing shalwar kameez arrived at the office and held a gun at the employee as a hostage.

Soon after, three other suspects riding motorcycles arrived at the office and began to rob cash and other valuables. As the suspects fled, one of them fired a shot, hitting Ali in the head. The police have opened a case and started an investigation.
