The police claimed on Friday that they had solved the mystery of the murder of a young woman who was found dead in Quettabad two weeks ago and arrested her husband and two of his companions.

According to the police, on June 26, the four-day-old body of 26-year-old Maryam was found in a garbage dump in Mukhara, Kashmir. Her body was taken to the Jinnah Graduate Medical Center for an autopsy.

The police learned during the ongoing investigation that the woman’s husband, Qalbe Abbas, had murdered her with the help of two friends Bakhtiar and Abdul Samad.

The police said that preliminary investigations revealed that a taxi driver kidnapped the victim and later sold her to a woman named Fatima. The buyer later married her son Qalbe Abbas, who had abused his wife.

Police said the suspect stabbed the woman’s body with a knife and burned it with acid after murdering her.
