Due to flash floods in rivers and open channels, large tracts of land in the northern region were flooded, and many roads collapsed due to landslides.

Due to heavy rain, the Babusar Top route connecting Chilas and Naran national highway was also blocked in the past 10 hours.
Buses and private transportation are still trapped by locals and tourists, all of whom are trapped on the roads.

In addition, the Pakistan Meteorological Department yesterday warned of glacial lake outburst floods (GLOF) in fragile areas in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral area in a weather warning.

The Pakistan Bureau of Metrology (PMD) stated that the weather system of Gilgit Baltistan and Gitlar after the continued high temperature in the fragile areas of Gilgit Baltistan and Gitlar may produce glacier lake outburst floods (GLOF) It may prevail in its vigilance in the next 1-2 weeks.
The Meteorological Office advised local communities to be vigilant and asked the relevant authorities to take precautions to deal with any emergency.
