Homegrown Koo App revealed that it has taken strict action on Koo’s posts, which is in line with the compliance and guidelines set by the central government. As a result, it has deleted more than 2,300 Koos and has taken the strictest action on more than 66,300 posts.

“According to Article 4(d) of the Indian Government’s 2021 Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Code of Ethics) Rules, Koo has issued the July 2021 Social Media Compliance Reporting Rules in accordance with the following requirements,” Gu Yi Said in a statement.

Koo said in a statement that Koo released the report in the second month because it plans to achieve greater clarity in the process of implementing compliance requirements on social media.

In July 2021, Koo revealed that the community reported 3,431, of which 498 were deleted, and the remaining 2,933 accounts were facing lawsuits.

In addition, Koo took active measures to mitigate 65,280 Koos, of which 1,887 were removed, while other actions were taken against the remaining 63,393 Koos.

“Other actions” include covering, obscuring, ignoring, warning, etc., related to Koos or posts that do not comply with Indian government guidelines.
