Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) completed a preliminary investigation of the transformation and beautification of 106 roads in the city, and then invited various agencies to beautify these roads.

KMC administrator Laeeq Ahmed held a meeting on road beautification and renovation in his office on Saturday. KMC Senior Coordinating Director Khalid Khan, Chief Engineering Director Shabiul Hasnain Zaidi, Park Director Taha Saleem and other officials attended the meeting.

The KMC administrator stated that an advisory committee will be formed to refurbish these roads, including KMC officials, as well as celebrities and creative thinking dignitaries in the city.

He also sought the idea of ​​building a monument on the road. He added that the city government welcomes anyone who comes up with ideas to improve Karachi. Ahmed said that he will work hard to create a better urban environment by renovating Sharea Faisal, Shahrah-e-Pakistan, Rashid Minhas Road and other places. aorta.

He said Karachi is a major city in the world and it should have all the facilities that people all over the world expect. “Karachi’s past is very glorious. There was a time when Karachi’s streets were cleaned every day and the lights were lit with kerosene,” he recalled. He added that today, all modern facilities are available, but unfortunately they are not being used.

The KMC administrator said that some organizations and multinational companies have put forward some ideas about road reconstruction, and these ideas will be reviewed and implemented. He said that the beautification of Sharea Faisal is very important because it is the corridor where the airport is located. He added that Karachi should have a better image after the renovation.

Ahmed also asked Karachi citizens to help beautify their city, participate in tree planting, and protect public property. “It is the shared responsibility of all of us to make our city clean and green, because the future of all of us depends on this city,” he said.
