Karachi’s political parties began to show their muscles for camp committee elections

Karachi: The election of local institutions is scheduled to be held at the camp committee in Sindh Province on September 12. The political parties in the city are hurrying to prepare. news Reported on Wednesday.

Sindh has 8 resident committees—six in Karachi, and one each in Hyderabad and Panoakir—and holds elections for councillors in as many constituencies as possible.

PPP, MQM-P, PTI, JI, PSP and PML-N are the main parties that will vote in the camp committee.

The Karachi branch of JI recently held an election group meeting to discuss matters related to the election of local institutions.

JI Karachi Deputy Chief Raja Arif Sultan presided over a meeting. The Karachi Chief Hafiz Namur Rahman of the party and the regional leaders attended the meeting.

The meeting was informed that the religious party has finalized candidates in different electoral districts, and the process of setting up elected offices has begun, and workers’ meetings will be held in these districts soon.

Participants were told that JI will take part in the voting with its own flag and logo. The meeting said that taking into account the ground conditions in some areas, the coalition government can also support candidates who enjoy a good reputation among the people.

Participants submitted review reports on the preparations for elections in their respective constituencies and stated that they had launched public relations activities based on local residents’ issues.

They also told the meeting that in the process of communicating with residents, JI staff have been guiding them on how to solve problems and how to use their votes correctly.

JI Karachi Chief Rahman said that the religious party has long been dealing with serious problems faced by local residents in Karachi’s rights activism, such as the atrocities of K-Electric.

“JI has successfully established a public awareness among the people, which is why people participated in JI protest rally in large numbers,” Lehman said.

“Therefore, for the camp committee election to be successful, it is necessary to make contact faster and more effective.”

PML-N

The PML-N Sindh chapter announced on Monday the subcommittee of the eight camp committees in the province to oversee the polls and finalize the candidates.

The subcommittee was announced by Syed Munawar Raza, the head of the provincial committee established last week. However, the final determination of the candidate will be announced by the party’s provincial chairman Shah Mohamed Shah.

Rana Ahsan and Javed Arsala Khan were appointed as Chairman and Secretary of the Malir Cantonment Subcommittee, while Sheikh Javed Mir and Khan Muhammad Tanoli were appointed as Chairman and Secretary of Clifton Cantonment.

For Faisal Cantonment, Tariq Mehmood and Saeed Hazarvi are in charge, while Haji Muhammad Iqbal and Sohail Naeem have been appointed as the chairman and secretary of Korangi Creek.

Similarly, Muhibrahan and Mohamed Ashfak Hazarvi were appointed as Chairman and Secretary of Manola State, while Amin Khatak and Mohamed Usman Ali served as Karachi State Chairman and Secretary.

The party also announced the subcommittees of the Hyderabad and Panoa Gil camp committees.

The JUI-F Sindh branch also announced that it will participate in local government opinion surveys of camp committees across the province. This was decided at a recent meeting held at the Karachi party office.

JUI-F Sindh Deputy Chief Maulana Abdul Karim Abdi, Central Spokesperson Aslam Ghori and other leaders attended the meeting, and they asked the leaders of the region to start preparing for voting.

Nomination documents

According to the Pakistan Election Commission, nomination documents will be issued to candidates from July 15.

Nominations will be accepted between July 26th and 29th, and the final list will be announced on July 30th. The documents will be reviewed from July 31 to August 3, and the approval or rejection appeal will be filed from August 4 to 7.

The Appellate Body will accept the appeal on August 10. After that, the list of candidates will be announced on August 11 based on valid documents.
