Karachi: The Pakistan Meteorological Department said Thursday morning that the weather in Karachi may continue to be hot and humid in the next 24 hours.

The Meteorological Department said it expects thunderstorms and some rainfall in the next 24 hours.

The minimum temperature on Thursday morning was 28.5 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature may rise to 38 degrees Celsius.

The humidity in the morning is 66%.

The Meteorological Department stated that the wind was blowing from the northeast at a speed of 7 kilometers per hour.

PMD had earlier predicted that as the country’s monsoon season begins, intermittent showers will continue until July 16, and several cities including Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Peshawar will experience rain.

In a statement on Tuesday, PMD said that the strong monsoon weather system that brings rainfall in the country may continue this week.

After a brief period of hot weather, the metropolis ushered in heavy rains and thunderstorms on Wednesday.

The Meteorological Department recorded 12 mm of rainfall in Gulshan-e-Hadeed, 2 mm in PAF Masroor base, and 3.8 mm in Jinnah Terminal.

The rainfall on Daxue Road is 2 mm, the PAF Faisal base rainfall is 2.1 mm, the old airport area is 1.2 mm, and the Randy rainfall is 9 mm.
