Lahore: A spokesperson for the Intermediate and Secondary Education Commission said on Saturday that in the Kana district of the city, several Islamic (optional) and chief accountant Intermediate Part 2 answer sheets were burned.
“Some criminals set fire to the motorbike in charge of the test center,” said the spokesperson, who explained how the resolved answer sheet was burned.
He said that the Kahna Police Department has registered a case against an unidentified person in this regard. The motivation behind this behavior is still unknown.
The spokesperson said: “Today, 48 out of 50 candidates took Kahna’s annual exam.”
The spokesman said that the authorities are strictly monitoring examination centers throughout the city, adding that the examinations for Islamic and special military studies will be conducted at night.
After the incident, the BISE chairman and controller inspectors arrived at the scene to start the investigation.
The Punjab Higher Education Minister Raja Yasir Humayun Sarfaraz took note of this incident and requested the Lahore Committee to submit a report on it immediately.
