  • “The mention of Imran Khan’s name now only reminds people of how people are deprived of flour, sugar and Kashmir,” Mariam said.
  • On the other hand, when people think of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, people think of “highway” and “progress.”
  • Say “no one believes the chosen”; he (Prime Minister Imran Khan) “is not respected at home and abroad”.

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz slammed the PTI government on Saturday, saying that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s election symbol should now be a “thief” instead of a cricket bat.

Mariam made the remarks while speaking at a rally in the Shada town of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The leader of PML-N stated that in 2018, Imran Khan “stole the election” with a cricket bat. “The mention of Imran Khan’s name now only reminds people of how people are deprived of flour, sugar and Kashmir,” she said.

She said that all people can remember is “queuing to buy flour and sugar.”

“The old man lined up and only gave 1.5 pieces of candy. Is 1.5 kilograms of candy enough for a house of 10 to 12 people?” she asked.

Mariam said, on the other hand, when people think of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, people think of “highway” and “progress.”

She added that PML-N is currently the “most popular party” in AJK.

“Those who criticize Nawaz Sharif still focus on the PML-N candidates participating in the competition,” she said.

She said that although Nawaz Sharif lives in London, he still “lives in the hearts of the Kashmir people.”

Maryam said that when she was sitting by the river the night before, she prayed that the Indian-occupied Kashmir would be unified with Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

“I can imagine the sadness you have to carry with you,” she said.

Speaking of Prime Minister Imran Khan, she said that “no one believes the chosen person.” “He has no respect at home or abroad,” she added.

She said that PML-N has now learned how to deal with opponents. “We know how to take back our seats from these voting thieves,” she said.

The Vice President of PML-N urged the audience to actively participate in the July 25 elections with the whole family. “Assure me that you will protect your votes before the results are announced,” she said.

Mariam said that the “Lion” will win in the valley on July 25, referring to the PML-N election logo.
