Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday rejected the bail request of the main suspect in the gang rape of a takeaway boy at a private university in Islamabad.

Judge Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri is listening to suspect Ibrahim Khan’s request for bail. After the request was rejected, Khan was immediately arrested outside the IHC.

Suspected of gang rape

Allegedly, a 22-year-old meal delivery boy was gang-raped on a private university campus in June 2021.

According to reports Geographic NewsUniversity professor Dr. Mushtaq wrote a letter to the president of the university requesting an investigation into the matter.

Mushtak wrote in the letter: “The perpetrators in the incident should be punished, not cover up the crime.”

Later, the university’s disciplinary committee expelled two students, Ibrahim Khan and Mahmoud Ashraf, on grounds of suspicion.
