IG orders the development of child protection apps

Lahore: Punjab Provincial Police Chief Inam Ghani has instructed DIG IT to develop a digital application for close monitoring of missing, kidnapped or abused children across the province in order to obtain information from all sources (including helpline 15, police stations and services). Hosting a meeting at the Central Police Station on Friday, IG asked DIG IT to prepare the application as soon as possible and display it at the next meeting. He said that the application should be made available to the public in the Google Play store so that parents and heirs of child victims can register themselves on the application and contact the police easily with one click. He said that supervisors should concentrate on taking immediate action and cooperation to safely retrieve children in reports of missing or kidnapped children. He warned that the police will not be tolerated in any case of child disappearance, kidnapping, torture and physical abuse.
He said that supervisors of children’s cases should benefit from modern forensic medicine and information technology in order to speed up the process of bringing criminals to justice.
IG stated that preventing crimes against children and protecting them from all kinds of cruelty and abuse is one of the top tasks of Punjab police. During the meeting, issues related to the prevention of crimes against children were discussed in detail.
IG told the police that children are a very sensitive part of society and that they are the future of the country. Therefore, priority measures should be taken to combat the antisocial factors that cause them problems.
IG Punjab stated that through the application, reports of missing, missing or kidnapped children in any part of the province will be sent to all police stations and on-site formations in Punjab at the same time. This will help to take immediate measures to protect the victims of children. Recover safely.
If a missing child from Lahore or any other area goes to another area or is kidnapped, the local police will not only receive an alert, but also mobilize the child to retrieve it safely and bring the responsible person to the predetermined location.
